We have now finished developing BookMonitor™ to work alongside BookTrakker Used and Rare Book Management Software Database. The next release of BookTrakker will include options to upload directly to this site. You will need to set up the ftp options with the user name and password you use to access this site. My thanks to Andy at BookTrakker for his help with this and I look forward to trying to match his level of customer service.

Froogle / Google Base

FroogleMentor™ is now finalised and we have all of your 400,000 or so books listed under the BookLovers froogle department - too early for real reflection but certainly seeing a growing traffic direct to some of your listings.

How Does It Work, Selling Books Here at BookLovers.co.uk?

Your books will be listed alongside my own stock although, currently, they can only be ordered individually (i.e. not combined with mine or other dealers books) but that is under development soon. Orders are passed directly from the site for you to conclude the transaction. There are no fees for listing and just 10% commission on each sale, excluding P&P of course.

I invoice quarterly (at the end of March, June, September and December) for commission on sales and you can pay by cheque, credit card.

My service is aimed at the independent book dealer looking for an additional outlet for selling their books. I don't specify shipping charges, you are free to agree those directly with your customer, although you can indicate a general shipping charge for each area.

Please note that this is a site for real independent book sellers selling second hand, rare, out of print and hard to find books not print on demand, photocopies or, indeed, golf clubs. Dealers listed must hold their own stock, I don't do drop-shipping I'm afraid as there are plenty of sites for you chaps to hang out on. Dealers selling new books (included remaindered books of course) are more than welcome.

I personally check out each applicant. I do not want millions of listings with "we ship before you order", "satisfaction guaranteed", "great buy order now". You can keep that for Walmart et. al. where it maybe appropriate. Any dealer who's listings contain such things will simply be removed. If anyone spots a breach of these rules please let me know. I shall "work with them" to improve matters or remove them.

BookMonitor™ is now up and running - you can upload your books by ftp (email me if you require an account) or via the browser option. Adds and deletes are scheduled twice daily so your books can always be right up to date. If you need to purge and relace all your books just name your file purge.*** (use the extension assigned by your choice of software) and BookMonitor™ will do the rest.

If you use BookTrakker, Homebase or Booklist then you can produce the required data files at the touch of a key. I can accept the same data that you would use at Amazon.co.uk and "other database" users can use that option to provide the data.
